The project was originated in 1996, following the meeting of impassioned people, who have decided to share both their data processing experience and their knowledge for horses. They then developed a decision aided tool based on database technologies, using queries allowing the cross-checking of the information as significant as the race’s actors( jockeys, horses, coaches), the race's environment (such as distance, racecourse, condition of the ground), the arrivals (positions, variation, stopwatches), and even the complete reports. In 1999 the development phase and the data entry are completed, and Patos SA is created, with an initial budget of 250,000 French Francs. Huggy CD Rom is launched in March 2000, followed by Huggy’s website. Huggy Pro Version is released in May 2001: this product is the result of several months of ground work and programming, in order to enable all kinds of race- goers to find the needed information for their gambling.
